Khatas - Offering scarfs

Khatas or offering scarves are a Tibetan tradition reaching back into history. The khatas are usually offered to welcome a lama, geshe or teacher, or are offered as a sign of respect to holy objects such as statues, thangkas etc. The style of khatas range from simple printed white khatas to elaborate hand embroidered ones. Here we offer a selection of the most popular ones.
